TECATE SCORE BAJA 1000 AIRS IN HIGH-DEF ON DISCOVERY HD

Discovery HD Theater will
air a high-definition two-hour broadcast of the 38 th Tecate SCORE Baja 1000.
This special program entitled, The Baja Unlimited , will air on Monday, May 29
at 8:00 pm ET.
The granddaddy of all desert races, the legendary Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 attracts adventurers from around the world. Held annually in the treacherous and unforgiving Mexican peninsula, the race is the crown jewel of SCORE Desert racing, averaging nearly 350 entries from 30 States and a dozen countries each year.
For more than 30 years, the world's most famous desert race has enticed celebrities like Paul Newman, James Garner, and Jesse James as well as cross-over racers such as NASCAR champion Robby Gordon and action sports personality Cameron Steele. Its grueling course runs through villages along the peninsula luring nearly 200,000 spectators. Little more than half of the racers finish this incredible test of man and machine where mechanical failures and vehicle flip-overs are part of the ride. The legendary Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 is the pinnacle achievement in motorsports and remains the single most appealing accomplishment for drivers around the world.
